Marina Savova and Helen Weintritt met over a glass of wine in Hamburg. Both musicians studied in France or French-speaking Switzerland, they are francophile and have an affinity for the French language.
With the French program "Une rencontre avec le Surréalisme et l'Impressionisme" the pianist Marina Savova and the singer Helen Weintritt take you on a journey through the poetic and magical world of sounds of Claude Debussy and the floating rhythm of Maurice Ravel. Encounter playful mandolin sounds by Gabriel Fauré, surrealist stories in the songs of Francis Poulenc and thought-provoking chansons from Erik Satie's time as a bar pianist.
